Ayodhya where Ram resides in everyone's heart
History of Ayodhya :
Historically speaking, its history is old. It is mentioned in both Buddhist and Jain texts. Many kings in the Gupta dynasty ruled here and promoted and revived Brahmanism in this place. In the Mughal period, many rulers looted here and destroyed many temples, including the Ram temple, and built the Babri Masjid here, which was demolished by some organizations in 1992, with the aim that the place where the mosque was built.
There was already a temple there, due to which such a step was taken. Under this, in 2003, the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) excavated, in which it was found that there was a temple under the mosque. In addition to Hindus, Buddhist and Jain representatives claimed that their temples existed at the excavated site.
In a judgment pronounced by a 5-judge bench of the Supreme Court of India on 9 November 2019, the land was handed over to the government to form a trust for the construction of the temple. The court also directed the government to allot a 5-acre (2.0 ha) plot of land in Ayodhya to the Uttar Pradesh Sunni Central Waqf Board to build a mosque/mosque.
